Dr. Elisabeth Ann Bowles was an Emeritus faculty member of the School of Education at UNCG. She attended the school as an undergraduate when it was the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina. Bowles later did her graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she wrote her doctoral dissertation entitled, "The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 1892-1931." This dissertation was developed into the book, A Good Beginning : the First Four Decades of The...
